How does asset verification work?

Most customers publish a DNS TXT record at _bitguardit.{host}. If you do not control DNS, you can upload an authorization letter (PDF, PNG, JPEG, or DOCX) for BitGuardIT LLC staff to review. DNS TXT is for domains, websites, and subdomains, not IP addresses.

What threat intelligence does BitGuardIT use?

Professional and above can include NVD CVE data, CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities, EPSS scores, and MITRE ATT&CK mapping. Additional commercial feeds exist as optional platform integrations only when BitGuardIT LLC has configured them. This is not marketed as real-time global threat coverage.

What reports are available?

Accepted Answer

Every plan can generate scan and vulnerability reports as PDF, HTML, or JSON. Professional and above add executive and compliance report types, plus DOCX, XLSX, and CSV. Reports communicate workspace data. They are not a certification and they are not the whole product.

Question 4

How do the four plans differ?

Accepted Answer

Starter covers verified assessments, findings, a score, and basic reports. Professional adds threat-intelligence context, executive and compliance reporting, and extra export formats. Enterprise adds continuous exposure monitoring, vendor risk, and attack-path views derived from findings. Ultimate adds member invitations and unlimited AI Assistant access. Prices are not listed on this site.

Can multiple people use the same organization?

The portal already uses organization roles. Inviting additional members is included with Ultimate. Invitees must already have a BitGuardIT account. Starter, Professional, and Enterprise are not sold as team-member plans.

What integrations exist?

Accepted Answer

Email notifications and optional Slack alerts from organization settings are available on every plan. Authorized users can create organization API keys in the portal. Professional and above can include threat-intelligence and MITRE mapping context. Cloud inventory sync and ITSM ticket automation are not current connectors.

How does a trial work?

Accepted Answer

Each of the four plans includes a three-day trial. A payment method is required to start. You are not charged until the trial ends. When the trial expires, plan capabilities stop until the organization subscribes.

Does BitGuardIT assess systems we do not own?

Accepted Answer

No. Assessments are performed only against assets the customer owns or is explicitly authorized to assess. Ownership is verified with DNS or a staff-reviewed authorization letter before scanning.

Can schools use BitGuardIT for cybersecurity classes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BitGuardIT Cybersecurity Learning Labs is a hands-on cybersecurity laboratory and simulation environment for schools, colleges, universities, and training programs. Schools can integrate BitGuardIT with Canvas and other learning management systems, or use BitGuardIT directly. Contact support@bitguardit.com to get started.
